Midwest District seeks presenters for 2012
Chicago Conference

The PRSA Midwest District is pleased to announce its first District-wide event in many years, the 2012 Midwest District Conference, which will be held July 19-20, 2012 at Loyola University in Chicago. All public relations professionals from across the District and beyond are invited to attend the event, which will focus on Reestablishing the Value Proposition: Trust and Transparency in PR.

Assistant Director, News and Communications

Illinois Wesleyan University is seeking an assistant director responsible for identifying, conceiving, researching, writing/editing and providing creative direction for printed and online materials and strategic communications including news releases, newsletters and publications, University magazine content, and promotional materials.

The assistant director reports to the vice president for communications and works closely with faculty, development and alumni groups, and many other communications office staff. A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, English (writing) or related field with 3-5 years experience is required.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer, strategic and creative thinker, and capable of working independently. Experience in one or more of the following areas: higher education communications, corporate communications, nonprofit communications, public relations, news media or publications, is preferred.
