DIRECTOR OF LOCAL CHAMBER RELATIONS

The Illinois Chamber seeks a DIRECTOR OF EVENT PLANNING AND SOCIAL MEDIA. Director serves as primary support for the Business Services Division and plans and coordinates all chamber events including annual conferences and meetings.

Director also coordinates use of social media to promote and report on all meetings and conferences. Director also works cooperatively with Chamber staff on marketing initiatives and provides support on IT matters including website management.

The person must have a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, hospitality/event management or related field or have a minimum of four years of experience in event planning and management with a customer service orientation. The person must also have excellent organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with a wide-range of other software. Good benefits and salary in mid-$40 thousand dollar range.
