Ron Actis, APR
Management's Last Frontier: A Communications
System to Focus and Sustaining a Culture of Achievement.
Ron will discuss the Synchronous Communications
Management system presented in his book, Management's Last
Frontier: A Communications System to Focus and Sustaining a
Culture of Achievement.
Ron is a Management graduate of the University of
Illinois, a former General Motors executive and an accredited
member of the Public Relations Society of America.
He was advanced to become Group Director of
Communications and Public Affairs for the newly formed GM
Automotive Components Group which consolidated 15 divisions and
300,000 employees, around the world, under a new group vice
president. The group subsequently was spun-off by GM as Delphi.
He left GM four years later to join Dow Corning
as Corporate Manager of External Communications and Community
Affairs, and in charge of legal communications regarding Dow
Corning's breast implant controversy. He left the company a
short time later to start Actis Consulting where he continues as
president and CEO.
While at GM, he developed a public relations
planning system that became GM's worldwide communications model.
He recently had a book published about the system -
Management's Last Frontier: A Communications System to Focus and
Sustain a Culture of Achievement - which is also being used
in college curricula. He is here today to share that system with
us and answer any questions we may have.
